Flex Arm R-Lite This is a more powerful 72mm model which can bring 64 LED's of a specific wave length (color) to bear on a target area. The circuitry of this model permits the circular array of 32 LED emitters and/or the 32 LED emitters from both flex arms (16 LED's per arm) to be switched on. Personal Forensic Light Source (PFLS) The LED (light emitting diode) light technology is very dynamic and is improving in performance to the point that they are comparable to much more expensive Forensic Light Source's (FLS) within a specific color. This means that we can offer a light at a very reasonable cost. Some LED lights do not perform as well as others and I have come to know which ones yield the best performance. I have adapted a Mini Mag based LED light unit. I produce LED lights in a variety of wavelengths (colors) for various applications. Priced reasonable facilitates each investigator their own 5FLS arrangement and multiple investigators can combine their lights together for greater intensity or to expand the field of scope. I am promoting a concept of the "personal FLS" (PFLS). Many of the forensic applications of the FLS utilize the blue light range (~ 455 Nm). These applications include: Sexual assault investigation discovery of protein stains (ie; semen stains). Utilizing a shorter wavelength we can enhance evidence of domestic violence. The purple light range (~395 Nm) can enhance injury to skin via the absorption of blood diffused under the skin (contusion). This application would be especially applicable to domestic violence, crimes against children and the elderly.
